I enjoy asking those who have already read this book what in their opinion its about?
I am told that its a love story, a Mother son relationship story, and a story of hope is what I am often told. In fact I think each covers what it means to me. For me its a look at a woman who challenged the norms, she rejected any idea which told her she could not be equal because she was a woman. She felt and thought with her heart regardless of the outcome, her heart was her intelligence.
